Can you all believe I complete 14 months out here this week. I will have to send a picture one of my friends sent to me this week because it made me laugh to hard. hahaha.
This week was such a great one! We finished up training! and now Hermana Godoy is all grown up! hahaha no but really I can't believe we finished up two transfers together so fast! We got news for Transfers yesterday and we will be sticking together the next transfer as well so all is good! By the end of next transfer I will have about 7 months.. or more in this ward since i got transferred the end of September! So crazy! But I couldn't be more excited to have more time here. I have so much love for this ward. The members have all told me to start looking for a house in the area hahaha. It is excellent here. I am just getting so spoiled. I always tell them that my parents are all worried for me back home but little do you all know.. I am just getting spoiled by my 40 parents that I have here in the ward! haha.
We worked really hard this week to meet our goals that we had set as we ended the transfer this week and it all paid off. We exceeded the goals we had set as we found new investigator after new investigator. God just really brought miracle after miracle this week. We had 3 of our investigators who are preparing for baptism come to church with us yesterday and it was just beautiful.
One of my favorite stories from the week is that Maria, the recently baptized sister. nannies during the day. One of the kids she nannies is Asher. Just dulce. oops! just sweet! He said the prayer in our lesson with them this week and then we ended up meeting his mom and planning a day to visit them. When we went by the little boy, Adrian. Had set up the chairs outside with his bible and pamphlet we gave him the day before and was outside waiting for us. It was great!
Other great experience is that we met a man on the street and started to talk to him. He was a really cute little old man who was going to the store to buy candies for his grandkids. We started to talk to him and introduced a little bit about our message. The Spirit was telling me.. talk about baptism.. so I invited him to be baptized. He said yes! haha I have only asked a few people out on my mission to be baptized when contacting right there in the street. Some have said yes but not accepted a date and everything. But Peter, the grandpa, was stoked! When can you come teach my family? When is Church?
This week was all just a little too good to be true. But I definitely enjoyed it.
I hope you all had a great week! Oh and Happy Birthday to Basil! I can't believe his birthday has already come around again.
You're all so old. hahaha but I love you all!
Love,
Hermana Gillette

Something I sent to Kristin today but I feel like it is a message I should share with the all of ya'll. I really do love you all!
So good to hear you and hear how things are going! I miss you all a lot. I don't know this week I just felt a need to see you all... that hasn't happened in a while. Not because I don't love you all or miss you sometimes I just get busy. But even among the business of this week I found myself missing the family a little more than the normal. It's just that the gospel is beautiful and we see how happy it makes families out here.. which reminds me of my happy family back in good old Utah. Keep on being happy. Keep getting together. It's what makes life enjoyable. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts and your prayers.
I love you!
