Buenas Tardes Familia Mio,
Hey Family! What is new with you all? How was your week? I got a ton of pictures in emails this week which I always love :) All the kids are too freaking cute it hurts! haha But the Millie Princess Run looked like a ton of fun! I would pretty much die just for one of Hilary's cookies right now! Well, this week we got the news for transfers. I am staying here in Reynosa with Hermana Magana and Hermana Flores (Mama Flowers) is going to a different area. There will also be a new sister missionary joining the mission tomorrow so no more trios. Which I am both happy and sad about haha. But it should be fun to have a new missionary around. We are getting 12 new elders too! Which is crazy because our mission is little right now. We have only 80 missionaries in the mission right now total. Which is super small for a Mexico mission, I feel. Apparently this next few transfer are gonna be crazy with ne missionaries. I am excited!
Well this week was crazy! yet again haha. One day I went on splits with a girl in our ward who got home from her mission in Mexico City about 9 months ago. She was awesome! It was super fun to work with her and hear her mission stories.. the mission life.. oh man there is nothing else like it! We also got a ton of help from Hermana Janet this week. Have I written you all about Hermana Janet. She is a SAINT! There are just some ward members that help us too much! Hermana Janet, Juliet, Josue.. Seriously amazing! I will send a picture of us with Hermana Janet :)
Oh random story.. one day my comps and I were riding the bus. Hermana Flores told me she would pay for my ticket since I paid for hers the day before. So we reach our stop and get off. When I get off the bus the bus driver is YELLING at me. They have a word for "white person" here that they call me everywhere! "Guerra!! GUERRA!" I just ignored him.. but then it clicks in my brain "Hermana Flores did you pay for me?!" "Oh I forgot!" hahaha oh I was embarrassed I ran back and paid! I think He thinks I am just a super snobby missionary now.. same with everyone else on the bus! Shoot!
Oh also, my companions and I were able to find 9 new investigators this week! Which was sweet since so many of our investigators have not been progressing. We also had an event this week. My zone right now is doing this things where on Fridays we pick an area and go to that area, all 15 missionaries and just contact like crazy trying to find new investigators for that area. Well, this week it was my areas turn. It was awesome! The elders got us about 10 new investigators! So this week was definitely a success in finding more people to teach and serve. I am definitely excited for this next transfer with all these people!
This week I had my top 2 favorite lessons I have had in my mission yet.. okay maybe not.. it's hard to pick out something like that. But holy cow! I am sitting here thinking about these two lessons I had this week not knowing how to write about them correctly enough to give them credit. Let's just say I know two very incredible families right now. They have more faith than me. My investigators amazing me cause they strengthen my faith and are examples to me. People think I am all awesome cause I wear a fancy plaque but really.. it's the people living here. Putting all their faith in God to help them change their lives. We are teaching a mom and a daughter right now. Iliana and Estefani. They pray and read the scriptures together every night. The other day they called us wanting to visit with us. So we went over and they said they got their answer. They want to change, want to be baptized, ahh.. I can't explain our visit with them. It was just too sweet. I love them too pieces!
K, that's what I got for this week! Love you all so much!
