Pues bueno, hello family! This week felt like a year long which I was totally fine with :) haha We just did a bunch of stuff! Here's to hoping this last transfer is like this every week!
Well, on Tuesday we had our sister's meeting and ye I did teach for the 30 minutes in front of everyone. It was a great experience because the Lord really pulled through. I got up and all of my nerves went away and I was able to remember everything that I had planned. Dano will like to know that i taught about how we can find FAMILIES to teach. The Lord really is preparing not only people in our area to receive the gospel but families. I think it went well.. Better than I imagined but who know maybe it was a disaster. haha. oh well.
After the meeting we had lunch with President and his wife since the meeting was at their house. President asked me if we had appointments in the afternoon. I told him the appointments we had but they were at about 4 and 5 o'clock. He said good because you have an appointment at 7pm. what? apparently Miriam told president she wanted me in her baptism! Wahoo! So I got to go to Miriam and Antonio's baptism on Tuesday! It was so great! At the last minute Miriam's son Manuel decided he wasn't ready... but I know his baptism will come soon enough! So I will send pictures!
On Wednesday we had a Zone activity. The whole zone went out contacting in Puerta Del Sol looking for new investigators for the missionaries there. We passed a members house out there and invited them to join us contacting so they did! The Acuña Family. It was great to spend the morning with them! We found some good people to teach there too!
Thursday it rained a ton! or maybe it was friday.. I don't remember. But the lightening was SO crazy! I thought we were going to die! Our leaders called us to go home early because it was so crazy! I took a video you will have to see someday. The next day we spent a few house helping people clear the floods from their houses... it was a site. Two girls in long skirts walking around town with mops in their hands. We literally looked like witches! We didn't get a single good contact in that time, obviously.
We have a few investigators who are gold! Hermana Gisel and her daughter Kristin! yup. I am teaching a Mexican Kristin :) haha. Anyways Gisel's parents are members in Veracruz. We taught her about the word of wisdom this week. When we taught her she told us she had already stopped drinking coffee because she heard Mormons don't drink coffee!! We were like that's awesome, do you know why we don't drink coffee? she didn't know why... It was like when Gabriel asked Adam why he was making sacrifices... it was legit. haha. LOVED IT! Then! When we went back to visit her she told us she was thinking about how sometimes her dad still drinks even though he is a member because it is an addiction he has had forever but he has done a lot better. She said she read the pamphlet we left her and prayed at the end to know how to help her dad... it was so cute! She said she is going to call him more often. Honestly love her.
There is a bakery here that looks so good! They have a huge gigantic enormous fan that blows the smell of delicious sweet bread out into the streets but I refuse to buy some.. not yet. Because I know I will be addicted and spend all my money and come home chubby. So I will wait for a special day to buy some. haha these are my problems here in my area.
So... we are going to start the next transfer this next week. Who knows what is going to happen because Hermana Clubb is the only one not training and there are 3 new sisters coming. One of the APs called this morning to ask if we had room for a 3rd sister.. I could just have 2 new sisters with me next week. who knows what is going to happen. But it is just all too crazy. I would say I am pretty nervous but this is just the mission.. crazy things are happening all the time. I just have to get over not being prepared to have more responsibility and just do what president and the Spirit says. I guess it is one of the bet things I have learned out here.
Well, I love you all! Have a great week!
