Aloha!
This week we as missionaries in our ward held an activity where we all went to Hawaii. Hermana Godoy and I made Hawaiian necklaces for everyone and we all got on the plane. We had an instruction video like a real flight that our ward mission leader found and I acted like a flight attendant. It was a good time. Then our plane crashed and we all died. Just imagine me and a bunch of Mexicans pretending to die in the chapel... it was a great sight to see. Then we had Hermano Cristian direct everyone to different rooms that we prepared to represent the 3 different kingdoms of glory. It turned out well and I hope that everyone enjoyed it and learned something. We had 2 of our investigators come and I think they enjoyed it so that was good! I sent a picture of us in our "airplane" haha.
Other things from this week, It was Hermana Morale's birthday. I heard from a few of you that you saw the pictures on Facebook. It was fun. We had a meeting with all the sisters in the mission and then a little party. It was a great meeting and a great party.. except for the fact president started to joke with me about how much time I got left... he still hasn't forgotten about over a year ago when I called dad ancient... he has now started calling me ancient.. haha
The next day we had interviews with President. It has actually been since like August since I had an interview with President. It was nice, I like talking to him and he always has good advice for me. I can't imagine what my mission would be like if I didn't get along with my president. He is seriously so awesome. I am just happy he is here.
I also went to the eye doctor this week since my companion has noted that I have been reading my scriptures close to my face and have been having a hard time reading street signs. I have been also getting headaches from reading. Just somethings. Nothing to big.. just little things. So we booked me an appointment and I went and I need glasses.. that should be interesting.. looks like you all won't be the only ones changing while I am gone. Anyways President said he would be calling home to talk about it.. but sounds like you guys haven't heard.. but I may need some money for glasses or I can write Kristin and she can put some of my money I saved in my account.. the thing is my debit card from home hasn't worked out here so she would have to talk to my bank.. I don't know I will be writing you guys about that.. sorry boring.. okay back to the normal news ;)
Oh but when I did go to the doctors it was in my old area... about 4 door downs from Javier. One of my converts so I wrote him a quick note since he wasn't home.. Sad.. I wanted to see him!! I took a picture all sad outside of his door that I made attach as well! haha
We have been having a lot of help from the members which is nice. Because when we change areas our investigators will still know people. We went out visiting people with members everyday this week. I love the members. We just started a new transfer and I will be here with Hermana Godoy another transfer to finish her training which I am excited about. I love this area, the ward, the people, everything. God blessed me with another transfer here and I hope I can make a good difference in the area in these next few weeks! I just honestly thought I was going to get transferred because well a few sisters will be going home the end of this transfer who haven't trained yet. It has been and is a privilege to train a new missionary. I am learning a lot from her.
I don't know if I should write home about this but it was something little and kind of funny know that it is over. We only have water in our house like 4 days a week. It is always random too. We try to always save water in buckets but sometimes we just don't have time or forget or don't save enough. Anyways the other day we didn't have water... I won't tell you if we showered or not haha.. we are disgusting! But sometimes it just isn't our fault! Anyways.. we went to bed and I am usually passed out when I sleep. But I woke up in the middle of the night and I felt like I should check the house.
As soon as my foot hit the ground... Water! I was still half asleep but I freaked out! We sleep right next to the bathroom and apparently the water came back in the middle of the night. We just had a tiny flood. We cleaned it all back up in about an hour and then went back to bed! I think this is something I will remember for a long time. Hermana Godoy and I sweeping the water out of our house at 3 in the morning. I now know why carpet doesn't exist in Mexico! hahha
Well, not too much left to say. We are still trying hard to help the Family Garcia Gomez with their baptism. The parents will be getting married here soon! So things should all work out as planned!
Love you all! have a great week!
