Man oh man! I am here! I only got a few minutes to write you all today since like I said we have been at the hospital since 11 in the morning! But everything is okay now. My companion fractured a bone in her foot and that really sucks because they told her to rest for 2 weeks when she only has 3 weeks left in the mission. I can tell today has been hard for her so I am hoping I can cheer her up this week. Looks like we will be visiting a little less each day but I am fine with that just as long as Hermana Reyes enjoys these last few weeks of her mission.
Well.. i have so much to say and no time to say any of it. I will try to type fast and just print of your emails this week so I can write more. Well, a few things from this week..
1. Mom is gonna love this one. On Wednesday we received a call saying we would be having a multi-zone conference on Thursday (the next day). So the next day we go to the mission offices and everyone piles into the chapel for our conference. We all get seated and we sing a hymn, say a pray and then Hermana Morales, president's wife goes up to speak. She then tells us there is a surprise.... flu shots for everyone! It was like Oprah "for you! and you and you too!" and I was in my seat freaking out! I think you all probably I know about my fear for shots! THANKFULLY this week I did come down with a head cold. So they gave me medicine and sent me on my way only to come back in two weeks for my shot! I now got two weeks to think of what else I got so they won't give me the dang shot! hahahaha some things just don't change!
2. The same Thursday was.. well you all know. Thanksgiving! Hermana Reyes and I really like holidays so we took it as an chance to order pizza for dinner! It was super special and fun! I am happy she likes holidays because we are always singing Christmas songs and thinking of ways we can make the house more Christmasy and things we can do for people for this season. She is awesome. Did I tell you all she goes home the 22nd of December to spend Christmas with her family. I have a love hate relationship with that fact. But I am sure I will live.
3. Random Story. On Friday we had two small dogs follow us around ALL DAY LONG! The would wait outside of our appointments for us and you could hear them whimpering outside the door. At one house they sat by a window and gave us puppy dog faces the entire lesson. I couldn't stop laughing! it was crazy! At one point we had 7 dogs following us around! At one point I had us check our backpacks to see if there was some food in them but honestly there was NOTHING! Weirdest thing ever. But it was so funny!
4. We found a cute little family this week! We contacted the daughter who is 19 outside of her house. Her name is Frida and she took us to met her parents and her mom is mute and deaf but she is so cute! We had a conversation in basically charades. The whole family was so nice and well I know totally have a desire to learn sign language! It is next on the list of languages that's for sure! We will be teaching them more this week and I am excited!
Well.. that is all I can really think of! Sorry it isn't much! But it is better than nothing! Love you all so much!
