Hey!
Hey guys! How are you all doing? I hope you all had a great week! It was a good time here in Reynosa this week! We had a few interesting things happen. It was hot all week but today I am shivering.. Reynosa never knows what it wants when it comes to weather. Who knows when it will make up it's mind.
Today Hermana Godoy and I have plans to go out to dinner with President and his wife since 3 more of my companions go home today. Hermana Tobon, Flores and Magaña. So crazy! Now 6 out of my 8 companions that I have had will be home! Things are changing all too fast! But it should be an excellent day being able to see everyone again for one last time!
News for this week is that we had a few of our investigators at church yesterday and a hand full of less active members come for the first time in forever! It was super sweet!
Have I written you about Jared? He is a little 9 year old punk. haha okay he isn't a punk. But we have been trying to get him excited to come to church since who knows when! His parents are less actives and well we live just a few streets away from them so when we pass by we always say hi or share something with them. Jared at first was all excited to be baptized but then talked to his friends and they made fun of him.. shoot. Well, this week we walked by and he was practicing some things with his soccer ball in the street by himself. We started to play with him and I think it was when I tried to head the ball and totally missed and whacked my face that we broke the ice with him. hahahaha we all ended up laughing and he ended up coming to church this week! It was awesome!
We had so many people come to church yesterday that I couldn't sit with Hermana Godoy.. and Hermana Godoy almost couldn't sit with one of our investigators. All of our investigators had to sit in random seats which was great! Cause they met new people! It just feels good to see so many people at church after a long week of service.
We also had a mission conference this week with our mission president. It was excellent. Just gave us all a good "You can do it!" speech haha. But I loved it. His talks are always so excellent and his wife's as well. I sure will miss their talks. I am pretty sure after the mission I will be calling them up like everyday to ask for direction in my life haha.
We got to watch "Meet the Mormons" at the mission conference because it will be at the movie theatres here next month! SO crazy! We can't go to see the movie in the theatre but we at least got to watch it so we could promote it. Our bishop is awesome and bought tickets for our investigators! It should be awesome! So crazy how the gospel really is getting shared everywhere and in every way!
yup! Well, I love you all! I hope you have a great week! I can't even believe we are going into March soon! It's too crazy!
Love,
Hermana Gillette
