Familia!
Wow.. this week was crazy! It's funny cause I read dad's email and he was like this week went by super fast! But I feel like I lived a whole life this past week. It definitely had a lot of ups and downs but the high points were super, super sweet so I have absolutely nothing to complain about! But I hope you all had good weeks and it looks like everyone had fun celebrating birthdays and things! Sounds like Vieve is safe in Costa Rica! I hope she has been having fun and holy crap! I loved Asher's birthday cake! Hilz is siempre amazing!
Well I am trying to figure out how to tell you about my week. At the beginning of the week we had 4 baptisms planned. We were ready to work super hard all week and we did just that! I swear everything was working against us this week though. It was just one of those weeks in the mission that people talked about. Where you do all you can and still things won't work out. We had one day where it took two hours to get one of our investigators to his baptismal interview because of the time for traffic, walking, buses taking forever. But we made it and Miguel was baptized on Friday! I need to tell you how awesome Miguel is! He is our investigator that I think I wrote about. He always wears a white church shirt to our lessons and seriously people at church here don't even do that! Well as we were walking to his interview he told us that he had already purchased baptismal clothes! What? haha people here don't have money for that kind of thing... seriously! We have clothes for him but I don't think he knew that. I feel bad now thinking about it that we didn't tell him beforehand. But seriously his baptismal outfit was awesome! I have pictures but it doesn't do it justice cause you can't see his white cowboy boots! (Krick, I thought of your mission story where your investigator wore his basketball jersey!) But it was awesome! Miguel also has a son named Miguel but we call him Miguelito. I have declared him my nephew. He is so awesome! He brings me Mexican candies to try and I bring him American ones that I have received from packages. He is 7 and seriously he is like my best friend here haha.
The next day was Saturday and we had the baptism of Esmeralda and Neftali. We had everyone there and the font all filled. haha I am laughing about it now thinking about it. But seriously it was.. strange. Of course this had to be the baptism that President came to this week. Well, the time of the baptism comes around and no Esmeralda. No Neftali. So we call them and this random girl answers and it is a Pastor for another church. Apparently Neftali got scared and went to his sister who was a Pastor and let's just say I have no idea how I have gotten here. haha sometimes I just look around and am like who am I? I am a Spanish speaking version of myself that people look at as someone with authority.. but how? I don't know how to describe it. Anyways we went and visited Esmeralda and Neftali yesterday. They are so funny. I hope that everything works out for them. I really think it will. I think Neftali just got scared for a minute. We will have to see what this next week brings.
But can I just say I love Hermana Sosa. I can't tell if we are working hard or hardly working. Cause my body is super tired. I come home and crash every single night. But I laugh so hard everyday over something with her! It is amazing and the biggest blessing! Oh! How could I forget! The other BIGGEST blessing! I got some seriously awesome packages this week :) Last Monday we went to the office and I asked if anything had come and the Elder in charge of mail doesn't say anything he just leaves the room and comes back with Christmas!! Seriously family? How?!?!! How? How did I get so lucky! 4 packages and like 30 cards! The drought was definitely worth it! I cried. Not even lying, I cried so many tears of joy! Thank you so much!! I am so happy! I do want to try something else though.. please, please don't kill me.. but the man who's address you all have called and asked me for money like monthly haha because he has been taking care of my mail. haha So I paid him but I have like 4 other addresses people have given me and one in specific I hear is the best to send to haha and the family I know and is really nice :) So, when you feel like writing me again would you try this address: (if not no big deal I will just pay, it is so worth it! haha)

Oh I forgot to mention when we were walking with Miguel he told us he couldn't find any ties for church so we surprised him and Miguelito with ties for church at his baptism and they wore them to church yesterday! It was the cutest thing I ever did see! K, that's my old lady comment of the day... haha
