Mi Familia!
I feel like I haven't written you all in like 54235972 weeks because last p-day we had like 20 minutes to write our families! But that's okay cause I have time and stories today! I hope you all are doing so amazing! I think and pray about you all everyday! Last night I had a dream that Kristin needed a babysitter for a work meeting so she called President Morales and got the "okay" for me to come home for an afternoon to watch BUBE SAYAH! :) it was the best! Asher was at school though :( (this dream was realistic haha) but yeah I babysat baby Sarah in my dream last night and she was too dang cute! I miss those kids too dang much!
Anyways! This week was crazy! Hermana Sosa and I had lots of little adventures everyday. But I can't remember what happened when.. I need to take better notes everyday cause every week is too crazy! Well, I will start with us trying Pulpo (octopus) cause that was an adventure for me! I took a picture I will have to send cause we ate straight up tentacles in this soup. Yeah.. it was not my favorite things I had ever eaten but it was fun to try. That same day I got hiccups! Possibly from eating octopus..? haha just kidding. But everyone was laughing at me all day cause they stayed forever! It was hard to have serious lessons when you have hiccups haha.
So Hermana Sosa and I found this super awesome family last week! They have these 2 sons and 3 adorable little girls! When they pray it is the cutest things ever! Anyways, the two sons accepted baptismal dates and everything! We had only taught them twice. So on I think it was Tuesday we went to have our 3 visit and guess what we found? The family had moved!! Legit moved! Like everything is gone from their porch, there is nothing in the house and there is a sign that says "Se Renta" like "For Rent". It was sad but at the same time I could not stop myself from laughing! Seriously! hahaha Were we really that scary? haha Oh man.. too funny.. I had to take a picture of that too :)
This week was Easter and the people here don't do much. You can buy eggs that are filled with confetti and throw them at people. That is about it. But they are super cheap so I think I will buy some today cause the people paint them too! (possible pictures to come!) But there was this one church that decided to celebrate on one of the days this week. Our area became like my American Problems class with the chairman. Hermana Sosa and I were walking down the street when we see this HUGE group of people in black clocks and this black gigantic cones on the heads that covered there faces to and they were carrying a gigantic cross. Some religions here are so different. I am definitely not in Salt Lake anymore haha.
Our stake also had youth conference this week where they had an activity everyday at our stake center for the YW/YM. It was super sweet cause one day the activity was to break them up into companionships and have them come to appointments with us! We got this companionship of two 14 year old super adorable girls. They were so cute in the lessons. It was a super fun day and I am so sad I forgot to get a picture with them! But they were so cute sharing their testimonies to all of our investigators! It was super special.
Oh so every night we say our nightly prayers. First we say a pray with all 4 of us hermanas in the house, then a companionship prayer and then a personal prayer. Well the other night I totally pulled a mom and fell asleep during my nightly personal prayer.. but I fell like dead asleep! Apparently Hermana Sosa thought I was just saying a really long needed, super spiritual prayer cause she brushed her teeth turned off the lights and went to sleep. She wakes up, like i don't know, possibly 45 minutes later and I am still praying! Hahaha she wakes me up and oh man my neck and my back hurt so badly the next day from being bent over my bed for so long! haha sometimes the mission life is a tiring one. But that is okay because I have never done anything so amazing in my life before!
Our investigators are all over the place right now. They all have strengths and weakness and we are doing all we can to help them. It is crazy because I feel like I am a person with a lot of weakness that I need to work on but some how I have been put in as the helper right now. I can't help these people.. they have problems I have never come close to having and they are so much older and different than me.. But this is we the mission is super sweet! Because I learn so much everyday! In every single lesson! The Lord is helping me and these people. I am simply here with a smile on my face. Trying to do the best that I can and the Lord is helping me with the rest. I don't know.. life is just super sweet and delicate here. I am soaking it all in and I don't think I could be here enjoying this life without my most amazing family back home. You all taught me how to enjoy anything and everything. You all have loved me everyday and so I try to love these people like I have been shown love in my life. Thank you all so much for everything! My gratitude for each one of you is more than I can write in a tiny weekly email! I hope you all have great weeks!
Love your lil' sis, aunt, nader,
Kels :)
