Editor's note We got to talk to Kelsy for an hour yesterday. She is doing AMAZING! We were all nervous when she got her call to Mexico. It look a lot of faith letting her go. But she is 100% in love with her mission. I've never heard her so happy. We may never get her home. We all agree Reynosa is exactly where she was meant to serve.
Family!
I just talked to you all last night but I am still just as excited to be here writing you all right now! Well, I don't have too much to say since I just talked to you all but I will try and write a few things that I missed about this week!
So this morning Hermana Sosa and I have been preparing to leave our area and give it all to the Elders. I found my self in tears of laughter this morning as we tried to get everything ready in our Area Book (a book were we right notes about every lesson we teach with info about every investigator). I was laughing so hard because well.. a lot of the house don't have numbers.. they have colors.. haha but sometimes some streets have houses like 2 or 3 blue house haha. so as we were writing the directions to each house it was seriously hilarious. I wrote on one record "Blue house on the street Leona. There should be a woman outside with a her feet in a bucket of water." On another I wrote "White house with a red gate and on the gate a picture of a helicopter some kid drew" I then drew a picture of the sign with the helicopter haha. Then one another, it was am investigator who is the mom of another investigator. So I put "lives with Betsy" but then we realized we didn't have the address of Betsy so we put "ask Brother Ignacio were they live."
So basically...The elders are going to hate us. haha.
I am really becoming a Mexican. It is like Dano said when he would ask for directions and the people would just be like "go straight and you will see a man selling watches, take a right and there will be a woman fighting with her husband..." yeah it is so weird..
Well, this week was really awesome! We got a ton done and although I am sad about leaving here. I am happy because I am leaving it feeling really good. I feel like Hermana Sosa and I really did help the ward become stronger and well that is my purpose so I am happy! I can't wait to hear about the progress that happens in this area because it is golden! I am also excited to get going in my new area because I know I have a purpose there. People to meet and lessons to learn and lessons to teach. It is going to be awesome.
So, the pictures from this week.. well one day we had the help from a couple.. all day long! it was amazing! Hermano Nacho and his wife are the best! But it was so funny cause they picked us up in the van and well.. just see the picture. It was a 15 passenger van and all the seats have been taken out. It was freaking hot in the van but Hermana Sosa and I had fun laying in the back as we went from house to house, hearing Hermano Nacho's jokes and they even taught me a few songs in Spanish haha. It was a good day.
The other picture is from last night at the Bishop's house for my phonecall. Bishop Martinez and Hermana Jenni his wife. They are too cute and helped us out A TON! So I had to get a picture! Well, I should probably get to packing! But I love you all so much! I am so happy I had the chance to talk to you all last night! The time is flying past! I hope you all have a sweet week!
I love you!
