Familia! Como estan? Yo tengo algo decirle! Yo recibo los planes de baijes! Voy a Mexico proxima domingo! k, k, I will stop trying to be awesome with my spanish cause it wasn't really working out haha But anyway what I was trying to say was that I have something to tell you! I got my travel plans for Mexico! I am leaving next Sunday! AHHHHH!!! That is seriously the craziest news ever! I can't believe that is a week from tomorrow! I have lots to learn this week! haha. Oh so side note.. our flight leaves around 1 am (Sunday-Monday night). We get to call home, Yay, yay, yay :) haha But I don't think I will have enough time to call you before my first flight but our first lay over is in Georgia we get in at 6 am there time which is what 3 or 4 our time.. are you even going to want to talk to me then? haha It is like a 4 hour layover but I just don't know when I will be able to call and our next lay over is in Mexico City so I am unsure about calling from there. Pretty much, I am just asking for thoughts. I know I will definitely be calling Dano at some point because I bet I will want his advice and to hopoefully calm any nerves I feel that day haha. So yeah Dano, don't miss that! I would love to talk to everyone else but I know with work and kids that may just be impossible! so don't feel bad for opting out! Just discuss over family dinner and tell me who wants me to call you and how and whatever. But dano, email me your # please :)
Okay enough of that! my week.. hmm.. Hermana Clubb and I worked so hard this week. Honestly, we were machines haha well, for the MTC.. We just stayed super focused it was awesome. We have really been working on not developing a certain teaching style but to make every lesson unique for that specific investigator. Sometimes it totally worked out and other times not so much haha. But we learned a lot. We also got to teach people from Colombia and Orem over skype this week haha I found the Orem one really funny.. But she spoke really good spanish. They both did! The guy from Colombia,.. oh boy I kept having him repeat stuff he was saying cause it was just so different. But the lesson with him was actually one of my favorites. He was a member but we still taught him a lesson and then we all bore our testimonies at the end it was sweet.
Then we taught this investigator this week who just moved here 6 weeks ago from McCallen Texas but before she lived there she lived in REYNOSA for 5 years! This is no joke. haha! It was awesome to talk to here! We taught her everyday this week! One day she wasn't here so we called her and she had broken her leg! So we taught her over the phone haha then the next day we got her a journal from the book store and made her paper cranes (my companion is japanese.. what do you expect!) and we gave them to her. She started to cry. It was an awesome lesson. I don't know hard to explain but just awesome!
Other than teaching/studying this week we got to Host on Wednesday! Oh man, So crazy seeing missionaries say goodbye to there families. I hope I was able to help them feel better! My time here has felt so short but then while hosting it felt like forever since that day! I can't get over how seriously weird time is for me right now.
Oh Hermano Hardy (one of my two teachers here, the other is Hermana Valdez-LOVE THEM!) But yeah Hermano Hardy put me incharge of teaching the grammer lesson on Thursday. I was stressed. Now all of the missionaries in my zone have really bad knowledge of dates, times, saber and conocer.. haha but for really. I told them they couldn't quote me on anything I taught.
Oh so, is it as crazy to all of you as it is to me that today is technically my month mark! Ah! I only have 17 more months. :( :) haha I don't know what else to say about that. Well, that is all that I really have to say about this week. Sorry it was so boring! But, I love you all! I miss you all! But I am exactly where I need to be! I hope you all have a great week/had a great week! Oh, I forgot to mention that last Sunday (the superbowl) at our devotional the speaker was this man from the missionary dept. up at church headquarter I can't think of his name right now. But, you could just tell he loved sports, he just had the look. Anyway he filled us in on the scores before his talk and after his talk. I thought that was hilarious! I thought of you all going crazy at the Dot Johnson football party! Sorry the game was so lame!
K, I LOVE YOU!!
Hermana Gillette
p.s. thanks dad and debbie for the candies! All of the missionaries loved them!
OH and pictures from this week are just of the Hermanas I live with and I with our mustache straws that Hilz sent to me :) (Fresca de-deska!)
