Familia!
Hey, hey! How are all of you? I hope that you all had a good week. It looks like you guys are getting rain as well. I hope you all are enjoying it as much as I am haha. Well... I have news... I just got news of emergency transfers. Since we have two sister missionaries going home this week we are having transfers right in the middle of this change. I am leaving Reynosa. I am leaving Hermana Lopez. I can't said I am not sad. But, This is just the mission life. I will be going to Puertas Del Sol and will be with Hermana Magana again, my last companion.
Man, it sure is hard to leave an area. I think every change it is going to feel like I am leaving home again. The good thing is that I know that every change in the mission is only so that I can grow as a missionary. Plus, I get to meet more of my giant Mexican family that I have here. But the family that we live with.. they are making it hard to leave haha the 3 little girls we live with all wrote me note and gave them to me this morning. The parents too! They are all so sweet! They actually threw a little late birthday party for me yesterday. I will send pictures because it was fun. I have been so spoiled haha yeah how many people can say they had a birthday month in Mexico :)
Well, This week was good. It was yet another tough one as far as missionary work. But we had some sweet moments and our work paid of a little. There is this little girl in the neighborhood how is always talking to me when we pass her street. She is a sweetie. She is 7 years old and is always talking to Hermana Lopez and I about the muchachos at the plaza haha. Anyways.. one night we had about 45 minutes left of the day and we had tried to visit everyone we could think of and no one was home. It was tough.. we were tried, hungry, dirty and kinda just wanted to go home. But I told Hermana Lopez, if we have one more lesson God will give us dinner. hahah yeah... so this is when we thought of the little girl on the street. We went to her house and met her mom outside. We talked and she invited us in. We then met her 3 daughters, they are so sweet. We taught them, started reading The Book of Mormon, we had an awesome visit. They are now preparing to be baptized October 18th. They are just awesome. I was feeling the spirit so strongly. But then after this lesson I could care less about how tired I was or how hungry I was. But as we left the house. Josefina the mom came running out after us with a bag and said "I don't know if you are hungry but I made a ton of extra for some reason". We went home and yeah she had made a ton of extra sandwiches for us. I wanted to cry.. I might have even. This is why I love the mission.. the little things mean so much. They came to church yesterday and I really think they are going to progress. God has blessed us.
Saturday was also Woman's conference. Hermana Lopez and I had been looking forward to it all week. It was awesome but the whole time they talked about the temple.. yeah there isn't a temple near by for hours. (I am so happy for where I live). But the conference was still really good. We are feeling ready for General Conference this coming weekend.
Well.. what else.. I took some pictures from my last Sunday here in the ward. I had to get a picture with Hermana Favila. She has changed my life. I think you all will be able to tell her sweetness just from a photo and with Remi and her daughter Julia too. I will send the pictures I got.
I don't have much more to say, but i am sure I will have more stories with my new area next week. I love you all and hope you are all doing great! Thanks for all the letters and packages I have received! My family is literally the best!! Love you all! Miss you!
