Hola!
Hey hey family, sorry I am writing so late today.. but we had a multi zone activity today. We all got together and played kick ball and volleyball. It was super fun and good to see all the sister missionaries again. Man, we have turned into one sweet family all of the sisters. Really, they are all so amazing! It is always good to catch up with old companions and see how everyone is doing.
Well.. let's see.. I know I have a few things to say about my week. The first being a question I have for Randy haha. But has Randy ever eaten cow placenta? If not I think I may just be the only one in the family... haha. Yeah We went to lunch last Monday and I started to eat lunch when I realized the meat was a little weird. I waited until after I ate it all to ask what it was and sure enough it was cow placenta. Yeah I went home and gagged for like 5 minutes and then got over it. hahah makes for a good mission story.
Anyways, I will move on so I don't make you all sick. Oh I will talk about the delicious food I ate this week. This week I got to bake! It was sweet! One of the elders who we share the area with also worked in a bakery. So we planned an activity this week to make donuts with the Relief Society this week. The activity turned out great! I will try to send pictures. The donuts definitely made me miss home a little... at least I got homemade donuts one time out here!
We also had two family nights this week in different member's house. It was really fun and well the members here are all just amazing! It is fun to see the members have excitement for the work and so ready to help out. We have a family we are teaching right now that is awesome. Vianey and Mary Sol and their kids. We are having a little bit of difficulties with them. I don't understand the whole living together but not getting married thing that everyone does out here! Vianey and Mary Sol have been living together for years with now 5 kids and haven't gotten married. We are hoping they will get married here soon. They want to so hopefully everything pulls through.
We also have an investigator who is so awesome named Jose. At first we were teaching him and his wife Lily. But Lily is not very open to The Book of Mormon or well.. anything anymore haha.. but Jose still has desires to learn and come to church which has made things rather difficult with us teaching him. It really sucks because he is a really good hearted person. I know if he were to get baptized he would one day be a bishop or something to that effect because he is just such a good person. So we are going to give our best effort with him and pray that things work out there as well.
What else is going on? Honestly nothing else.. haha hmm.. we went and helped Hermana Vicenta with her reading and writing a little more this week which was good. I have now been studying my own Spanish with her haha. We are Hermana Magana's little students, it has been fun. Well, I am sorry I don't have much else to say but I hope you all are doing well! Miss and love you all!
Love,
